“Kindling The Flame” Summary

            When college senior Charlotte Morgan lands a job nanny-ing for single dad A.J. Mandal’s adorable daughter Gabby, she couldn’t be happier—for more reasons than one.  Just coming off a heartbreaking split with her boyfriend of two years, Charlotte is astounded by her very real feelings of attraction to A.J. Mandal.  His good looks, easygoing nature, and affection for his little girl spark Charlotte’s desire to know him better—despite her best efforts to discourage herself.  Unwittingly, Charlotte finds herself being drawn into the Mandals’ lives, beginning the very first day on the job.  As she gets to know Gabby and has the chance to talk further with A.J., Charlotte comes to the exciting yet shocking revelation that her feelings for A.J. may be mutual.  It’s only the eight day of January, but already this year is turning out to be much more than Charlotte ever bargained for!       

“New Year, New Beginning” Summary

College senior Charlotte Morgan is crushed when Drake Maggio, her boyfriend of two years, unexpectedly breaks her heart at a friend’s New Year’s Eve party…especially since Charlotte had been expecting Drake to propose to her at the stroke of midnight!  Feeling bleak and hopeless, Charlotte has no idea what she’s going to do with herself for the rest of the university’s winter break…that is, until she answers a job posting for a single dad who needs a part-time nanny for his four-year-old daughter.  When Charlotte meets good-looking A.J. Mandal and his adorable little girl Gabby, she comes to the startling realization that her new year may not be off to such a bleak start, after all!
